UPAA President Aranton Visits UPDEPPO, Expresses Support for Elevation to College

On 29 June 2026, UP Alumni Association (UPAA) President and Alumni Regent Robert Lester Aranton paid a courtesy visit to UPDEPPO Director Dr. Patrick C. De Leon at the Clark Campus. He was joined by Atty. Joseph Emmanuel Lukban Angeles, President of Angeles University Foundation (AUF).

During the meeting, Alumni Regent Aranton expressed his strong support for Director De Leon’s vision of elevating UPDEPPO into the UP Pampanga and Olongapo College (UP POC). He assured the Director of assistance both in on-the-ground initiatives and at the Board of Regents (BOR) level.

Aranton was pleased to learn that UPDEPPO will soon be offering micro-credential courses, along with the continuous improvements undertaken in the graduate programs. He also commended the accomplishments of Director De Leon’s one-year administration, particularly in forging partnerships with national government agencies, local government units, government-owned and controlled corporations, and state universities and colleges in Central Luzon. He further encouraged UPDEPPO to explore collaborations with PEZA and BCDA.

Meanwhile, AUF President Angeles inquired about the possibility of cooperation between AUF and UPDEPPO, signaling potential academic and institutional partnerships in the near future.

This recent visit highlights the growing support for UPDEPPO’s initiatives and its role in strengthening academic collaborations and community engagement in Central Luzon.
