Strengthening Partnerships for Local Agriculture

On June 30, 2026, UPDEPPO Director Dr. Patrick C. De Leon welcomed officers from the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) and NCIA Bayanihan, led by Mr. Jesse Las Marias, Mr. Remy Albano, and Ms. Maria Mylene G. Laririt, for talks on the upcoming microcredentials offering. They were joined by Former UPDEPPO Director Dr. Florencia Charito Imperial-Sebastian who has long worked in policy development for agriculture and rural development.

This collaboration marks a milestone as NIA and NCIA Bayanihan will be availing of the first microcredential offering of UPDEPPO, the Microcredential Course on Cooperative Management and Integrated Farming Systems Approach to Agricultural Production, launching this September 2026.
