Strengthening Digital Connectivity at UPDEPPO Clark Campus
Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Secretary Henry Rhoel Aguda made a surprise visit last July 1, 2026 to the UPDEPPO Clark Campus to personally check the speed and reliability of our connection to GovNet, the national fiber-optic backbone designed to securely interconnect government agencies, LGUs, public schools, and state hospitals.
UPDEPPO Clark Campus proudly stands as the first university in the country to be connected to GovNet, a step forward in strengthening secure, high-speed digital infrastructure for education and public service.
Secretary Aguda was joined by Regional Director Engr. Antonio Edward Padre and Assistant Regional Director Atty. James Francis Villanueva, and warmly welcomed by UPDEPPO Deputy Director Asst. Prof. Maria Eunice Felix and CIO & Data Privacy Focal Person Asst. Prof. Arnulf Roan Pita, together with Mr. Berwin Bondoc and Mr. Nicko Sinio of the IT Office.
