UPDEPPO Welcomes First Batch of Taiwanese Students in Week-Long Cultural Exchange
The University of the Philippines Diliman Extension Programs in Pampanga and Olongapo (UPDEPPO) launched its first internationalization initiative today, July 23, 2026, under the leadership of Dr. Patrick C. De Leon.
A delegation of 43 Taiwanese students from Dewey International Education Co. Ltd. arrived for a week-long cultural exchange program, each paired with UPDEPPO student volunteers from its undergraduate programs. The students will engage in English language immersion, Philippine games and dances, and other cultural activities designed to foster cross-cultural exchange.
The program is coordinated by faculty member, Ms. Jeramie Joy Santiago, appointed as the focal person for the exchange. Following this first batch, a second group of Taiwanese students is set to arrive later in the midyear term.
