Dr. Lavides, a Senior Lecturer in the Master in Governance and Innovative Leadership program of UPDEPP and a Data Science for Public Policy Research Fellow of the UP Center for Integrative and Development Studies, participated in a roundtable discussion with fellow international technologists and policy experts on AI in the Global South upon the invitation of the Wilson Center’s Science and Technology Innovation Program (STIP).

The roundtable discussion took place at the Ivy Terrace in New York, USA on September 24, 2024, as part of the UN General Assembly week.
