The UPCAT Caravan of UPDEPPO Pahinungód officially began on July 4, 2026 at the Porac Municipal Convention Hall, marking the first day of UP’s mission to guide aspiring Iskolar ng Bayan and widen access to quality education. The caravan brought together students, educators, and local partners in a shared commitment to empower the youth and strengthen pathways toward quality higher education.

This milestone was built on groundwork laid earlier. On May 21, 2026, UPDEPPO Director Dr. Patrick C. De Leon and Pahinungód Coordinator Dr. Rhayan G. Melendres visited the Municipality of Porac for a coordination meeting with local officials. Discussions focused on preparations for the caravan and the Affirmative Action Program (AAP) in two partner schools: Porac Model Community High School and Sapang Uwak High School.

Special thanks is extended to Ms. Gemilyn A. Marimla, Municipal Government Department Head I of the Municipal Tourism, Arts, and Culture Office, for her invaluable support and partnership in welcoming the caravan to Porac.
