UP Clark Permanent Campus

The permanent campus of the University of the Philippines Diliman Extension Program in Pampanga (UPDEPP) is defined by the the Memorandum of Agreement signed by then Clark Development Corporation President Liberato P. Lapus and U. P. President Emerlinda R. Roman on April 19, 2007.

It is a 3.28-hectare lot located at the back of the leased properties of Puregold Duty Free and Brooks Warehousing Corporation along Claro M. Recto Highway and Ramon Magsaysay Extension, Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga.

Overall, the U.P Clark campus shall look like a miniature UP Diliman campus. As time passes, however, it will be able to have its unique features and a character of its own. It shall be able to embody the aspirations of its host province, Pampanga, and the rest of Central Luzon.

Permanent Campus Masterplan

The unit has acquired a permanent site with a 3.28-hectare lot on June 22, 2007 within Clark Freeport Zone with a vision to transform the setting into a University Town due to its strategic location. This is an environment that is consistent with the expectations and standards of people working at the highest level of intellectual exchange. The permanent site in Clark was made possible by the memorandum of agreement between UP Diliman and Clark Development Corporation.

The complete site development plan from the UP Diliman Office of the Campus Architect, shows that the campus is expected to have two academic buildings, two dormitory buildings, an administration building , a student center building, an auditorium, a staff house, a building for dormitory management and staff, and an Oblation Plaza.

Academic Building 1

According to the site development plan, the permanent campus is expected to have two academic buildings. The construction at Academic Building 1 is divided into three phases:

AB1 Phase 1 will consist of an administrative office, a dean's office, an office for the college secretary, a registrar's office, 12 lecture rooms, a faculty lounge, a student council lounge, and a viewdeck.

AB1 Phase 2 will feature three laboratory rooms, a lecture room, a library, and a canteen.

AB1 Phase 3 will have 24 lecture rooms, two computer rooms, and a state-of-the-art audiovisual room.

Dormitory 1

The permanent campus will have two dormitory buildings that will primarily cater to students coming from towns and provinces distant to Clark.

Each dormitory building will have two storeys with 20 spacious and comfortable rooms.
