de Leon, Patrick C.
|Prof. De Leon was born and raised in Hermosa, Bataan. He is the eldest among the six children of Luis Puno De Leon and Josefina Manalansan Carlos. He attended the Hermosa Elementary School and the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parochial School for his primary and secondary education respectively. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics (cum laude) from the University of the Philippines Los Baños in April 1994. Then, he worked as an assistant manager for the Bank of the Philippine Islands from May 1994 until May 1999. He then pursued his Master of Arts in International Relations at the International University of Japan under an Asian Development Bank scholarship. After obtaining his MA degree, he worked as an English instructor for a company in Yokohama, Japan for eight years. In the second semester of academic year 2010-2011 he joined the faculty of the U. P. Diliman Extension Program in Pampanga (UPDEPP). At present, he is a tenured faculty of UPDEPP and a Doctor of Public Administration student of the U. P. National College of Public Administration and Governance. Since 2011, he has chaired the Building and Facilities Committee of UPDEPP. He, however, has to give up the post temporarily in order to go to Japan. Currently, he is an exchange doctoral student at Meiji University, Tokyo, Japan. Prof. De Leon is married to Lyka Marie Pajares.|
